My second painting in 10 years! I had taken an intro class back in senior year HS, and boy, I'd forgotten how tough it was. I'm used to markers and color pencils, so not being able to do a straight line was a nightmare.

There are some funky things happening here: mainly having to do with the girl's figure (geez, that one short leg) - and the fact that her front is supposed to be leaning closely on the boy. A lot of it was lost in translation from my sketch (she was supposed to have one leg tucked up so you couldn't see it, but I had to paint the left shoe in after I was all done because she looked like she only had a leg and a half, see bottom). Hopefully it'll be better next time lol!

I'm the same way - painting is foreign land to me! I think the colors in this came out beautifully, though, and the texture is nice.

I can't believe this is only your second painting in 10 years!! I think it's lovely!! I love the red and I think the pose is great well done!
